What to expect from Olympia tire and brake shops
The two Olympia shops listed here, Kohout's Automotive and McLees Automotive Repair, are general repair shops that also work on RVs. That means they have the heavy-duty lifts and tools for larger vehicles. Kohout's has a 4.4 rating from 179 reviews; McLees has a 3.9 from 76. Both handle tires and A/C, and Kohout's also does electrical work. McLees adds body work and winterizing. Neither is a dedicated RV shop, so ask about their experience with your specific chassis and brake system before booking.
Mobile techs and other options
There are no mobile RV techs in Olympia for tire or brake work, so you'll need to bring your rig to a shop. If you need onsite help, you'll have to look outside the city. For tire and brake service, calling ahead is smart. Ask if they have the parts in stock or can order them, and whether they can handle your RV's size and weight. Also confirm they can do warranty work if you have a policy, since neither shop here is listed as a warranty provider.
When to book and what to ask
Spring and early summer fill up fast, so book a week or two ahead if you can. When you call, ask about their lead time for RV tires and brake jobs. Also ask if they can inspect your brakes and tires together, since both affect safety. If you're not sure what's wrong, describe the symptoms: pulling to one side, soft pedal, uneven tire wear. A good shop will tell you what they can handle and what they can't.
