What gets fixed here
Of the five shops in Middlebury, two list roof repair as a specialty, one handles A/C, and one handles awnings and slide-outs. That spread covers most of what actually breaks on a trip. Roofs leak after a few seasons of sun and rain, A/C quits on the hottest afternoon of the year, and slide-outs stick when a seal dries out or a track picks up grit. Call before you drive over and ask what the shop can get to today. A shop that is booked out three weeks on roof work may still squeeze in an A/C diagnosis. Two of the five shops here do warranty work, so ask about that early if your rig is still covered.
The shops worth knowing
Allegiant RV Service & Sales carries the strongest reputation, 4.9 stars over 81 reviews, and lists roof, A/C and awning work along with warranty, insurance, body and chassis service. That combination makes it a reasonable first call for collision damage or a claim. The Outpost RV has the deepest review history at 206 and also does warranty work. Royal RV Center, 4.7 stars over 196 reviews, keeps chassis and parts on the menu, handy when a job needs a component rather than just labor. Coachman plant 150 and CRV Service Shop 150 round out the list with roof work and general service.
Mobile techs and timing
None of the five Middlebury shops list mobile service, so plan on dropping the rig off unless a nearby shop offers it. That changes your day, so ask about turnaround when you call. Spring and early summer book up fast around here, and parts for older units can take a few days to arrive. Before you commit, ask whether the part is in stock or on order. A shop that has the sealant, gasket or control board on the shelf will finish sooner than one waiting on a truck. If you are on a schedule, say so up front.
