Where to take your rig
The RV Tech is the name that comes up most, and for good reason: 159 reviews and a 4.8 rating. They're mobile, which means they come to your campsite or driveway, and they handle roof, A/C, and awning work. If you're stuck at a campground near Lake Monroe or just don't want to move a rig with a bad slide, that's your first call. Daniels Garage LLC is a full auto and RV shop on the east side, rated 5.0 but with only two reviews, so take that with a grain of salt. They do A/C and chassis work. RV Service of Indiana is the third option, listed for generator service. No ratings yet, so ask around before you commit.
Mobile vs. shop work
One mobile tech covers Martinsville, and that's usually the fastest route for a roof leak or a dead A/C. A mobile call saves you the stress of driving a damaged rig, but not every job can be done in a field. Chassis and body work usually need a shop with a lift. If your problem is a slide-out that won't retract, call ahead and describe it. Some mobile techs can free a stuck slide on site, others will tell you to bring it in. Either way, ask if they've got the part in stock or if it's a week out. That one question saves a lot of sitting around.
Warranty and insurance
Only one of the three Martinsville shops, The RV Tech, lists warranty work and insurance claims as services. If your rig is still under an extended warranty, get pre-approval before anyone touches it. That means calling the warranty company, describing the failure, and getting a claim number. Some shops won't start without it. The same goes for insurance if a tree branch or a blowout caused the damage. Daniels Garage also handles insurance, but they don't list warranty work, so confirm before you drop off. RV Service of Indiana doesn't list either, so ask directly if you're hoping to use a policy.
