About Southside RV Center
Southside RV Center is a family-owned repair shop in Chesapeake, Virginia, that's been in business for 40 years. They service campers, 5th wheels, and motorhomes, and they handle insurance work if your rig is damaged. They also do custom work if you want to change or add items, and they can fabricate parts for customers. Reviews are mixed. Some people praise the friendly, knowledgeable staff and say they felt treated like family. One traveler on a cross-country trip got a broken slide roller welded back together and was back on the road quickly. But others warn of scammers and say they had trouble getting a camper delivered. The shop has a 3.9-star rating from 24 reviews. They're upfront that they can't please everybody but strive to. If you need repairs in the area, it's worth a call to see if they can help.

“Last summer, while pulling our Lance RV cross-country in what turned out to be a 10,000 + mile trip, the unthinkable happened. Brutalized by many days in a Virginia heatwave, our refrigerator/freezer died.” – Michael G., 6 years ago, on Google
“Excellent customer service experience. No high pressure sales tactics, allowed us to take our time and answered all of our questions. They definitely treat you like family.” – Marcus Q., 8 years ago, on Google
“Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of RVs in a convenient location. I will be taking my 5th wheel there for some work as I was impressed with the owner/technician.” – Teresa L., 7 years ago, on Google
