What gets fixed around here
All three Veneta shops list A/C repair, which makes sense once summer hits and everyone discovers their unit quits on the first hot drive. One shop handles roofs, and another takes on awnings and slide-outs. Green Streak Automotive carries the most reviews by far, with 151 and a 4.7 rating, plus weekend hours if your fridge dies on a Saturday. Source Engineering and Elite Repair and Remodel Class A Motor Coach both sit at 4.7 and 4.6 respectively, and Elite handles roofs, A/C and awnings under one roof. Call before you drive out. Ask whether the part is on the shelf or on order, because a week waiting for a control board is a week without your rig.
Mobile techs and the drive in
There are no mobile techs listed in Veneta itself, so plan on dropping the RV off unless a nearby Eugene outfit will come to you. That matters if your slide-out is stuck halfway out or the roof is open to the rain. Ask about mobile service when you call, and ask what a service call costs before you agree. Veneta is a short run from Eugene and the Fern Ridge area, so parts stores and bigger shops are close if a job needs to go elsewhere. Book ahead in spring, when everyone remembers their A/C and roof at the same time.
Warranty and roof checks
Two of the three shops here do warranty work. Get pre-approval from your warranty company before anyone starts, and ask the shop to document the failure with photos. It saves arguments later. Roof sealant is worth a look every year in western Oregon, where rain and moss work on seams and around vents. Elite Repair and Remodel handles roof work, and it also lists generator and chassis experience, so a shop visit can cover more than one item. Green Streak and Source Engineering both list chassis and parts, which helps when a suspension or drivetrain problem shows up alongside the house side of the rig.
