About Excursion Van Builds
Excursion Van Builds is a campervan conversion and repair shop in Portland, Oregon. They build custom vans on RAM ProMaster, Mercedes Sprinter, and Ford Transit platforms, and they install electrical systems like lithium batteries, solar arrays, and DC/DC chargers. They also handle plumbing, insulation, fan installation, and CNC-built cabinetry. Reviewers often mention the friendly team and clear explanations. One customer brought in a van with issues from previous installations and said the team got them in quickly and made sure everything worked and looked good. Another wanted to upgrade their heater and lighting after being turned away by other shops, and said Austen was easy to work with and had great suggestions. Others highlight that the team goes above and beyond, communicates at every step, and works fast. One review mentions a 2-week turnaround for updates, and another notes that Austen found a slim battery technology to fit a confined space and hardwired a Starlink.
