About Marine Diagnostic Services
Marine Diagnostic Services in New Bern handles marine, RV and trailer work, with a focus on tough diagnostics. The shop lists engine and electrical repair, rewiring, lithium and solar upgrades, fiberglass repair, and custom woodwork among what it does. It also carries Raymarine and Victron products and does installations. Reviewers keep coming back to the owner, Jake. They describe him as honest and thorough, and several say he gave them solutions that fit their needs and budget rather than what made him the most money. A few praise his depth of knowledge on Victron components and solar systems, and one owner credits him with getting a 20kW Onan generator running in time for a sea trial. Not every review is glowing. One customer says a project quoted at eight weeks stretched to nine months and still wasn't finished. Others point to cable work and electrical system overhauls done well. It sits at 4.6 from 19 Google reviews.
