About Camping World - Houghton Lake
Camping World in Houghton Lake is a smaller stop than some of the chain's other Michigan stores, and reviewers tend to notice that. Sales staff get called out by name for staying in touch through a deal and for walking people through the units on the lot. It's also a parts stop. One traveler heading north from Detroit ordered online for pickup and counted on the store having what they needed on the road. The service side draws regular praise. A comparison to the Birch Run location came down to the Houghton Lake crew taking time for a walkthrough at drop-off and pickup, and fixing things right the first time. Warranty work and trailer repairs come up in reviews too. Not every visit lands clean. A few buyers said the finance paperwork felt disorganized, and one mentioned repeated trips to the sales manager over simple questions. Skip the extras you don't want and ask about what's in the package before you sign.
