About Nordic Cooling Units
Nordic Cooling Units in Shipshewana, Indiana, rebuilds RV refrigerator cooling units rather than selling whole new fridges. The common failure they describe is rust-through and an ammonia leak, or a blockage from running the fridge off-level. A remanufactured unit, they say, costs less than replacing the entire refrigerator. The reviews are split, so go in with your eyes open. Some customers who use them regularly for business report good results and praise the service. Others describe orders that arrived defective or never showed up, failed units after a couple of weeks, and trouble getting anyone on the phone or by email. If your fridge quit cooling and smells of ammonia, a replacement cooling unit is the fix they specialize in. Worth a call to confirm current stock and turnaround before you commit.
