About Dave's Garage
Dave's Garage has been on the same Ramona street since 1989, and locals keep bringing their vehicles back. The shop handles motorhomes and extended warranty repairs alongside everyday cars, foreign and domestic. A/C and cooling work, brakes, tunes, oil changes and heavier jobs like transmissions and engines all happen here. They are also a Gold Shield smog shop, so they can test vehicles marked Test Only. Reviewers tend to talk about the smog checks and the mechanics knowing their stuff. Several mention honest recommendations and prices they consider fair. One Silverado diesel owner had an A/C problem fixed the same day and headed out across the desert. Another brought in a neglected Land Cruiser and said the crew worked through every issue without overcharging. A regular who has used the shop for years keeps coming back for maintenance and trusts them with a motorhome too. The shop has 147 Google reviews at 4.5 stars. It's not open around the clock, so check the hours before you head over.
