About Tom Schaeffer's Camping and Travel Center
Tom Schaeffer's Camping and Travel Center is a family owned RV dealer just south of Cabela's in Shoemakersville, Pennsylvania. They've been at it for 70 years, selling new and used travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, Class B coaches, pop ups, and Class A and C motorhomes. New brands include Grand Design, Forest River, Prime Time, Keystone and Thor Motor Coach. Reviewers keep coming back to the staff. Salespeople get named for listening to budgets and not steering people toward pricier units, and the no-pressure approach comes up again and again across more than a thousand reviews. Walkthroughs get called thorough, and one customer praised how clearly the financing was explained. Service shows up in the reviews too. One owner had warranty work handled over two winters so camping season wasn't lost, and the shop caught roof issues and reported them to the manufacturer. Hitch setup is the most mentioned topic. If something's broken, this is a full dealer with parts and a service side, not just a sales lot.
