About Outfitter RV Manufacturing
Outfitter RV Manufacturing is a Longmont shop that builds and sells truck campers, with repair work and parts on site. Reviewers keep coming back to the popup campers, especially the Caribou line, and describe them as very light for their size. One owner tows a Caribou Lite 6.5 behind both a 1500 and a 2500 short bed, and another had one built for a mid-size truck with a north-south bed and cassette toilet. People who like the campers talk about solid construction and real custom work. One buyer asked for different materials throughout to save weight and said the fit, finish and cost all came out well. Others mention awning options and the outside shower. Service after the sale is the split. Some earlier reviews complain about parts and warranty help being hard to get. A more recent one says the new owner squeezed them in on short notice for a water pump replacement before a trip and has made improvements, calling the shop nice to deal with. If you want a light camper or need work on one, it's worth a call ahead.

What renters mention
“caribou lite 6.5 options: outside shower, rear awning, laguna table system, north south bed configuration. This camper is lightweight and absolutely wonderful . It fits both my hubby's 1500 and my 2500 short bed truck.” – Jessica D., 5 years ago, on Google
“These are true custom craftsmen. We purchased a Caribou Lite 6.5 narrow for a mid-size truck with the north/south mattress, under bed storage and cassette toilet.” – John R., 9 months ago, on Google
“We love our Outfitter 9.5 Apex camper. We live in Wyoming and it was a short drive for us to compare Outfitter with the Hallmark campers. Both campers are very well built but the advantages for the pop up camper go to Outfitter hands down.” – Becky M., 10 years ago, on Google
