About Gem State Generators
Gem State Generators is a mobile repair service based in Meridian, Idaho, that comes to you for generator problems. They work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and natural gas generators, including the Onan units common in RVs. Reviewers mention Jon and Kyle by name, describing them as a father-and-son team who know their stuff. A pattern in the reviews: they diagnose fast. One customer says the problem was identified in about 10 minutes. Another had a part that was no longer serviceable, so they sourced a replacement nearby and modified the bracket to make it fit. People also mention getting tips on running the generator monthly under load to prevent future issues, and a few note fair pricing and free advice over the phone. The shop handles general repairs, emergency service, and generator maintenance like oil changes. If your rig is parked and the generator won't start, they'll come to you. Call ahead to check availability.
