About Bay State Truck Service Inc.
Bay State Truck Service has been working on trucks, diesels and general autos in the Springfield area since 1974, and RVs are part of the mix. The shop lists brakes, electrical, engine diagnostics, oil changes, transmission, exhaust, steering and suspension, and bus repair. One reviewer with a 30-foot Newmar gasser brought it in for service during a long cross-country trip. Reviews split. Several long-time customers say the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and that the work holds up, with one company driver of 16 years saying they stand behind what they do. Travelers have had good luck too: a 40-foot RV broke down on the Mass Turnpike, got towed in, and was back on the road within a few hours once parts were found. Others describe trouble getting answers. One reviewer waited more than three weeks after sending requested information and left messages with no reply. Another was quoted a week for an axle repair, then told two weeks, then turned away. A third questioned diagnostic and labor charges on a sensor swap. Weigh the mixed feedback before you book.
