About Autarky Expedition Vehicles and RV/Boat Storage
Autarky is a storage yard and RV repair shop on the Fallon side, and the reviews point mostly at one person: Zach. Owners describe him as technically sharp across a wide range of overlanding gear, from mechanics to accessory components. He is also the shop's ABYC-certified Victron Energy dealer and installer, handling inverters, charge controllers, lithium batteries and monitoring systems for off-grid and marine power. The work that comes up again and again is solar and custom builds. One reviewer was happy with a solar project on their RV and said the price was fair and the timeline held. Others call the builds some of the cleanest they have seen and credit the attention to detail. A few mention buying a rig here and coming back years later for advice and support. Mobile and roof service are both listed. The shop has posted hours but is not open around the clock. If you are mid-trip with a power problem, this is the kind of place people describe as easy to work with and quick to answer.
